In a clash of titans, Chelsea will host Real Madrid in the second leg of the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. Having been walloped by a 0-2 scoreline in the first leg, the Blues will be hoping for a miracle to come their way. Caretaker manager Frank Lampard will surely be hoping and praying for one. 

Key Highlights

Despite having a stellar frontline of Joao Felix, Raheem Sterling and Mykhaylo Mudryk, Chelsea have failed to register a lot of shots on target of late. This time around, however, they will be pushed forward by the midfield engine of Enzo Fernandez and N'Golo Kante. For Real Madrid, Karim Benzema, as always, poses the biggest threat. Vinicius Junior and Luka Modric will also be players to watch out for, not to forget the efficient Tony Kroos.

Injury Report

Chelsea will be hampered greatly by the absence of left-back Ben Chilwell, who has been suspended. Centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and forward Armando Broja are unavailable due to injuries. For Real Madrid, left-back Ferland Mendy will not be available for selection owing to a muscle injury. Manager Carlo Ancelotti will have a nearly full-strength side at his disposal.

Prediction

Both these teams appear to be very well-matched with each other. Despite Real Madrid's obvious strength in all three departments, Chelsea cannot be neglected as they will be playing at home. We expect Real Madrid to win this game but the prediction is for both teams to score (BTTS.) The side from the capital of Spain will be happy enough to go back with a draw- even a goalless one- under their belt.
